Welcome!

I am Klaus Holzapfel. My last name might sound like a whopper, but it simply means crabapple in German.

As a listener and lifelong learner, I focus on reducing noise and achieving results through bold, fearless, and collaborative efforts. I aim to be inspiring and innovative, with a deep concern for the future of humanity.

My journey began as the co-founder of a marketing agency named conceptbakery, which we successfully sold in 2016. My extensive experience in letting go stems from moving countries twice, conducting numerous garage sales, and selling hundreds of items online. As a former currency trader, I spent a decade buying and selling, learning that letting go is essential for embracing the new.

After selling our business, I embarked on a period of relentless organizing and optimizing my belongings. This is where I honed my Clutternomics method, which helps decide what to keep and what to discard, ensuring a meaningful collection of possessions with clear purpose and easy access.

Once my life settled, I turned my focus to property development, exploring the benefits of building electrification and learning the intricacies of reducing emissions. This journey taught me valuable lessons I now share to help others benefit our environment and future generations.

Experiencing the loss of friends and family has involved me in many legacy conversations. It is startling how unprepared many are for the inevitable, which limits their post-life legacy. I believe in proactively enjoying and shaping your legacy while still alive.

Many items and memories worth preserving end up in landfills, burdening grieving families with the task of deconstructing lives. This realization led to the birth of Can Less Be More, based on my lifetime of preparation for this role. From green building planning to legacy development, possession screening to digital strategizing and storytelling, I navigate these worlds with expertise.
